Ahhh...the Booth Photo

It has always been a challenge trying to get a decent booth shot, but try doing it in the middle of winter when it is 25 degrees and the ground is covered in snow!  Nonetheless, Dawn Sudmeier and I were successful this week in getting the booth up and the photo taken.  Let the art show application games begin!

Vitrigraph, Noodle and Frit Glass Panel

The panel is complete. I made the vitrigraph leaves this summer and it has taken me this long to get the piece done. Thank you Carol Murphy for letting me translate your wonderful pastel painting.

Texas Farm Country Glass Frit Painting

It's done!  A 39.5 hour fire!  Record for any of my kilns.  I think my grandparents would be proud.  I hope it brings a smile to my Uncle Corky and Aunt Arlene.

Building a Frit Painting - Final Pre-Fire

The piece is finally ready for final firing. It is ready to go into the kiln for a very SLOW fire, both up and down.  This took two full days of frit application, stringers, noodles, etc.... Now praying the kiln gods will show me great favor!
